Labor Day in The Deuce

It's Labor Day 2009, mostly overcast but perfect for a bike ride. Hop on your bicycle and join as we roll through:

    • A rising, rectangular patch of green on Argo, just off Pontiac Trail

    • A huge sandbox filled with communal toys
    • Awesome play structure, swing sets, and horseshpe pits

    • Pathway leading up and out of the park into small, well-manicured Fairveiw Cemetery

    Longshore

    • High above Argo Livery, with a broad view across the Huron River to North Main Street

    • Play structure, swing set, benches, and picnic tables

    • Apartment dwellers along its north end enjoy the amenities

    Argo

    • Active livery offering canoes, paddles, life preservers, and refreshments

    • Young and earnest employees are funny, pleasant, and helpful

    • Assortment of planned activities and parks information galore

    • Busy, busy, busy

    Riverside

    • Long expanse of green

    • East end parallels the Broadway Bridge (to the south)

    • Peaceful, island-like setting a Senior-Picture favorite

    • All-white play structure
